Three-Bean Salsa over Chicken Breast

We had the pleasure of having some dear friends over for dinner a few weeks ago and it was so refreshing and exciting to be able to plan a menu, prepare my dishes, and even enjoying the clean up!
A dinner party does not have to mean Filet mignon must be on the menu; you don’t need to spend hours or loads of money to impress and entertain with style. With a little planning, you can pull off a great meal without going beyond your budget. Here are some great time and money saving ideas:

Penned more than a century ago and still bursting with emotion, these words tell the tragic yet triumphant life story of its author, Horatio Gates Spafford. After reading Finding Anna, named for Spafford’s wife, I doubt I will ever sing the hymn again without considering the horrific difficulties this family endured. Not only did they endure, but they chose to seek God in the midst of death, darkness, and devastation. With their faith, they wrestled. With their God, they struggled.

Yours Truly Consignment Shoppe is celebrating its 10th year this fall, and owner Cinda Ehren is grateful for the continued success of her Downtown Conway business labeled as “The largest in the South.”
Back in October of 1999, Cinda was a Russellville homemaker looking for an enterprise that would involve the whole family. They drew on their expertise at finding “treasures” in unexpected places.
“My mother, Judy Rego, was a bargain hunter, and I learned from her,” Cinda said.
The fun and excitement of finding bargains and treasures took them only so far, however.

Recently, I spent a week in Germany with 150 women whose “business” is telling other people the story of Jesus Christ. These women devote themselves to serving as International Missionaries. Daily they fulfill the New Testament call to “go” and “tell.” It is easy to place missionaries on a spiritual pedestal thinking, “I could never do that.” However, the Bible teaches that every believer in Jesus Christ is a missionary. We are all called to “go” and “tell.”

The doctor was grim, but polite. “You probably have three to six months of good health.” The words spoken to Dr. Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University, were devastating. He knew his pancreatic cancer had returned but he wasn’t ready to give up on life. So he spent his last few months concentrating on living instead of dying. In his national bestseller, “The Last Lecture,” Dr. Pausch tells of his desire to live with no regrets, despite the circumstances.

Women in business, similarly to women at home, are often responsible for the smooth and seamless operation of day to day occurrences. Just as we make sure laundry is done, dishes are put away, and the family is fed in our domestic sphere, in the realm of the workplace, we are often the ones to ensure that paper is loaded in the printer, coffee pots are perking in the morning, and the office thermostat is set comfortably.
