On Friday, October 16 more than 20 unique, hand-painted chairs created by local artists took center stage and were auctioned off at the 87th annual Festival of Chairs benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the 20th Judicial District.
The evening raised more than $50,000 to help abused and neglected children in our area. More than 500 people attended this year’s Festival and enjoyed great food, cocktails, and entertainment on the crisp autumn evening. State Representative Linda Tyler and her husband Hugh served as honorary chairs of the event.
Angel and Guardian sponsors were Snap-on Equipment, Nabholz Construction, Fletcher Smith’s Jewelers, Centennial Bank, Conway Copies, Custom Metals, and Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden. Many Conway restaurants and chefs showed their support for CASA by donating the food for the Festival of Chairs: The Brewery, Chili’s, Cake & Company, Gusano’s, MarketPlace Grill, Michelangelo’s Ristorante, Mike’s Place, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Oak Street Bistro, Ruby Tuesday, T.G.I. Friday’s, and U.S. Pizza.
